Cowboy
Hello. My name is Cowboy and I'm a pinto pony. The term pinto refers to my distinctive brown and white markings. And I am really proud of my flashy coat. I love to spend time on the ranch herding cattle and going to rodeos. My favorite sport is barrel racing. I was given the name Cowboy because of my Western heritage.
I only like to be indoors if the weather is bad. The prairie is my home and where I feel most comfortable. I can swim across streams, hike up mountains and out-run the coyotes. I use my tail as a fly swatter when I'm out on the range.
I rattle my feed tub when I'm hungry and I curl my lip up when I want a treat. My favorite treats are carrots and corn cobs.

- Feed:
- Every morning and evening I get a ½ bucket of Paradise Performance Pellets TM and a ½ bucket of Paradise Organic OatsTM and a flake from my hay bale.
- Farrier:
- My shoes take a beating from all of my time spent outdoors so the farrier needs to shoe me every 4 weeks.
- Vet:
- I'm a hardy pony and only see the vet when necessary.
- Clothes:
- In cold weather, I wear my stable blanket in my stall and my turnout blanket when I am outside. In warmer weather, I wear my stable sheet in my stall and bask in the rays of the sun.
